    Description

    Business Development Manager (Agriculture)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promote our company's presence in the agriculture market.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the agriculture vertical.
    • Achieve sales targets through lead generation, prospecting, client meetings, proposal development, estimation, presentation, etc.
    • Tackle sales opportunities at various levels: low, medium, and high.
    • Develop strategies to win new business and increase market share.
    • Establish new business accounts according to our procedures.
    • Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and related documents.
    • Provide weekly and monthly reports as required for internal and client use.
    • Hold regular meetings to discuss new business or existing business servicing.
    • Maintain our CRM system according to applicable requirements.
    • Negotiate rates with suppliers where necessary to secure the best rate for specific client needs.
    • Handle operational, financial, or other queries from clients.
    • Cultivate relationships through client entertainment.
    • Foster awareness and understanding of industry vertical information, requirements, and general knowledge.
    • Stay informed about industry changes, developments, and skill requirements.
    • Perform any other tasks deemed reasonable by your reporting manager.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matriculation essential.
    • Proven experience in clearing & forwarding sales required.
    • At least 3 years of successful sales history required.
    • Formal sales training required.
    • Detailed understanding of the agriculture sector and its unique logistics demands.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to interpret financial data, including budgets, financial statements, and profit-loss data.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
    • Capacity to develop and implement strategies.
    • Ability to work effectively in a target-driven and pressured environment.
