Raw Materials Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Raw Materials Buyer to oversee the procurement of raw materials, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Select and purchase raw materials, equipment, consumables, and packaging in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Negotiate advantageous terms and conditions with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Evaluate supplier performance based on feedback from Quality Control and Goods Receiving departments.
Execute procurement transactions through SYSPRO, including requisitions, purchase orders, and MRP.
Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to support departmental objectives.
Ensure timely deliveries while optimizing stock levels and minimizing stockouts.
Manage stock rotation within established limits and ensure proper stock handling.
Address supplier complaints and resolve issues promptly.
Analyze costs to identify potential savings opportunities and improve procurement processes.
Present monthly procurement reports.
Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging raw material technologies.
Maintain compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.

Key Skills:

Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with suppliers.
Exhibit excellent communication skills for managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Show proficiency in procurement software and systems, particularly SYSPRO.
Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Show ability to manage inventory levels and ensure efficient stock rotation.
Have knowledge of cosmetic industry regulations and quality standards.
Hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in raw materials procurement within the manufacturing industry.
Be familiar with import/export procedures.
Experience in the cosmetics industry is advantageous.
Have a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year
