Fund Controller to join their team in
Cape Town.

As a Fund Controller, you will play a vital role in supporting the administration of funds, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the growth and development of the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Comply with office policies, familiarize with systems, assist staff, and participate in office meetings.
  • Network with peers, develop a development plan with the Manager/mentor, train/mentor colleagues, and manage teams.
  • Understand venture capital/private equity industry, client structures, LPAs, and train/mentor junior staff.
  • Train/mentor on bank wires, prepare/review wires, follow wire policies, and understand the line of credit.
  • Train/mentor on LP requests, review responses and prepare/review audit confirmations.
  • Train/mentor on data organization, and manage client deliverables and staff.
  • Train/mentor on allocation calculations, prepare/review capital call and distribution notices, and reconcile wires.
  • Train/mentor on GL entries, review entries/workbooks, calculate metrics, utilize reporting software.
  • Understand Tax Forms 1099, 1065, and Schedule K1, train/mentor on preparation, and review partner information.

Requirements:


  • Qualified CA (SA)
  • 13 years of postarticle experience.
  • Previous experience managing a team is required.
  • Previous experience in a fund management environment would be highly desirable.
  • Big 4 audit experience is highly desirable.
  • The role requires someone that can work independently and autonomously.
  • Deadlinedriven and continuous learner.

Salary:


  • R R70 000/ month
