Overview

Growing manufacturing entity with a national footprint requires an experienced Procurement and Logistics Officer looking to grow with the company._

Minimum Requirements:

Completed Grade 12
Supply chain related tertiary qualification
Strong Excel knowledge
2 or more years logistics and procurement experience
1 or more years' experience specific to the manufacturing industry

Duties and Responsibilities:

Procurement:
Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, aligning to excellent procurement practice
Monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance, according to an appropriate SLA's, on a continuous basis
Maintain good relationships with suppliers and renegotiate prices on a regular basis
Forecast and manage consumables requirements and usage
Order consumables and raw materials
Monitor delivery times
Control and monitor expenses against approved budgets
Reconcile and resolve order discrepancies with suppliers

Logistics:
Liaise with transporters (external and internal) to arrange dispatch and collections
Ensure that paperwork is accurately completed and filed
Ensure that pallets are correctly labelled and packed prior to dispatch
Update customers on the progress of shipments
Track transport cost vs recoveries
