    Inventory/Fixed Assets Accountant Role

    R500k (Negotiable) plus bonus

    About the Opportunity

    We are seeking a skilled Inventory/Fixed Assets Accountant to join our established FMCG Group. Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with Company Policy, IFRS requirements, and industry standards.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Ensure timely completion of finished production orders, including consumption of consumables and costing.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records through monthly stock takes with the stock clerk and review all stock sheets to verify variances.
    • Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules, as well as bank asset finance, stock, and capex code issuance.
    • Assist with compilation of statutory returns within your area of control.
    • Monitor and clear system suspense buckets by reviewing applicable reconciliations on a daily basis.
    • Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts in Annual Financial Statement format, budgets, forecasts, and explaining variances/deltas.
    • Support the compilation and issuing of Management Accounts for five entities.
    • Prepare annual operational and production budgets for all five entities.
    • Produce Monthly and Year-End Journals.
    • Provide internal and external auditors with required supporting schedules/evidence.
    • Submit VAT returns, clear VAT Control Accounts, and address SARS queries and information.

    Requirements

    • Commencement of Accounting Degree or equivalent/B.Tech/CIMA qualification.
    • Minimum three years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong technical accounting abilities.
    • Availability to travel locally.
