    We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team in Cape Town and Durban.

    About the Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for selling our business's products and services, implementing sales plans, documenting quotes, and reporting sales performance to the Director of Sales.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Sales Strategy Development: Design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that meet customer requirements.
    • Software Development: Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, and tools.
    • Competitive Analysis: Build and maintain a deep knowledge set of solutions offerings against major competitors, collaborating directly with executive team and conducting market research to stay current.
    • Documentation: Produce high-quality documentation of a technical nature.
    • Team Support: Ensure the sales team and implementations team have support during the sales phase and installers have support on the initial pilot phase.
    • Product Demonstrations: Create environments for the sales team and installation team to effectively demo all our products.
    • Integration Management: Own the onboarding of new integrations, add-on products, and new product sets.
    • Cloud Migration: This team member will be the lead for Simphony Cloud and own the process of migration for large enterprises into cloud.
    • Lead Generation: Follow up on leads by visiting prospective clients regularly, often enough to maintain their interest but not too often to alienate them.
    • Sales Performance: Achieve or better allocated Sales Quota. Sales Quotas will be reviewed annually.
    • Customer Needs Assessment: Identify prospective clients' exact needs by questioning, observation, and the completion of a full sales survey.
    • Customer Entertainment: Entertain prospective clients, where possible combining this with visits to existing satisfied customers.
    • Project Coordination: Liaise closely with project managers and operational staff on all details of a new prospective installation.
    • Communication: Maintain communication with the client showing an ongoing interest in the installation and the installation team.
    • Account Management: Ensure that all funds are collected on time as per the contract.
    • Activity Tracking:
    • Analyze statistics thereby identifying key sales areas, problems, and success rate.
    • Research: Research prospective client details, finding out as much as possible about the company to ensure a professional approach.
    • Competitor Monitoring: Constantly monitor and be aware of competitor activity.
    • Proposal Development: Present a realistic proposal to a prospective client, having thoroughly researched cost factors, and ensure that the proposal is achievable.
    • New Business Opportunities: Constantly be aware of new business opportunities and action these.
    • Office Communication: Maintain communications with the office on a daily basis, via telephone, mail, email, or fax.
    • Knowledge Sharing: Forward relevant product information, fixes, workarounds, known issues, etc., to relevant personnel within the company.
    • Technology Updates: Keep updated on new technologies available, both on MICROS software/hardware products, third-party software/hardware products, as well as general IT technologies related to our industry.
    • Corporate Developments: Regularly visit the corporate website www.micros.com to keep informed about corporate developments and news.
    • Intranet Site Updates: Regularly visit the MICROS Sharepoint intranet site and read any published 'Product Marketing Announcements' (PMA) and Field Bulletins and presentations.
    • Certification: Pass any certification examinations as required by Management.
    • Software Skills: Maintain an adequate level of knowledge in MS Windows operating systems and software utilities as released from time to time.
    • Product Demonstration: Confidently and knowledgeably demonstrate to prospective clients the Micros SA product range.

    Requirements

    • Education: Matric / Grade 12 / Equivalent
    • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of Micros Software
    • Work Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience within Restaurant environment
    • Management Experience: Minimum 3 years Management experience within Restaurant environment
    • Transportation: Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
