A reputable South African Home Textiles Manufacturing company producing household linen and accessories, has a vacancy for a skilled Business Development Executive in the Manufacturing Industry to join their Executive Management Team.

Job Description_
- Establish a business development unit to drive revenue through new business development opportunities in terms of the company's turnaround strategy.
- Responsible for developing a 3 to 5 year implementation plan to drive and increase revenue for the business.
- Responsible for the staffing of the business development unit.
- Present and market the company to the Hospitality, Retail, eCommerce, Exports industries.
- Develop and grow new business opportunities in both hospitality and retail in the SADC region; East and North Africa; the BRICS + countries; Europe.
- Build on existing relationships to develop and grow new business opportunities for the company.
- Analysis the performance of the current products and formulate future business strategy accordingly.
- Present new category recommendations regularly to Sales Manager and Key Account Managers (financials, reasoning/trends and plans).
- Keep abreast of industry trends and new product ideas in the local and international markets.
- Develop strategies based on financial plans (profitability targets, markup and receipt flow) for current and future customers.
- Build strong relationships with current and new customers locally and internationally.
- Forecasting business projections & trends, formulating resultoriented plans, setting and adherence to budgets/objectives.
- Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, delivery terms, and markdowns).
Key Requirements_
- Bachelors Degree in Textiles, Textile Technology and Product Business Development.
- Proven track record in Clothing Textile Retail/Manufacturing or eCommerce new business development for similar industry.
- Proven track record in building strong longlasting relationships with professionals at all organizational levels.
- Aptitude in identifying new areas for business growth and development.
- Good business acumen with high degree of analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to monitor and evaluate new opportunities in the industry.
- Proven track record in recruiting and managing a highfunctioning team in Clothing/Textile Manufacturing industry.
