Description
A leading property developer, with its head office in Cape Town is looking for a marketing and communications manager.

The position is responsible for the overall brand and marketing strategy and implementation thereof across all projects in line with organisational objectives.


Key responsibilities include:

Strategy


A key role player in creating, presenting and managing the brand and advertising strategies for the overarching brand as well as individual product brands which includes pre-launch, launch and post-launch campaigns.


PR and communications:

General PR of various brands which includes thought leadership, press releases, etc.
Placements and bookings with newspapers and magazines
Mailers
Internal magazines

Copywriting and editing of internal and external communications, which includes long copy articles as well as short copy for social media.


Relationship management with:

Real estate agents and estate agencies
Marketing agencies and freelancers
Internal and external stakeholders
Media


Creative:

Brief and manage creatives on products, brochures, launches, social media, etc, as required.
Quality control of outsourced creative and ensure that all material meets the requirements of the company.
Managing of trademarking for new and existing brands


To qualify for this role, you will need:
A relevant qualification in marketing, advertising, communication, or equivalent.
Work experience in the property sector/real estate field is preferred.
At least 10 years work experience including the handling of corporate communications, original writing and editing and public relations.
Five years of direct work experience in a marketing management capacity.
Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management.
Demonstrated proficiency in up-to-date digital marketing techniques, technologies and solutions which includes Google and Meta
Highly effective project management, prioritisation, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably Afrikaans as well
Breadth of working knowledge and past experience in publishing with print and online media.
Ability to manage and coordinate the end-to-end development process while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
Highly effective project management, prioritisation, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet deadlines
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills.
Financial acumen relating to creating and managing budgets, forecasts and reporting on budget variances.
