    As part of our Talent & Performance Centre of Expertise, you will proudly contribute to defining and implementing the talent management approach which is executed across our 13 markets in Africa and one in China.

    Job Overview

    You will partner with the HC team and business leaders to drive talent management strategies, providing tools and processes to meet the current and future business needs of the company. As a member of the Talent & Performance team, you will join a talented group of professionals who design and implement best in class talent management solutions across the enterprise.

    Key Performance Areas

  • This role is accountable for facilitating and implementing the talent management strategy, systems, practices and governance.
  • Within a global framework for talent management, you will maximize human capital engagement to ensure they have the necessary templates, tools, guidance and materials to support the talent management practice for the organization.
  • Empowering the business (including employees and line managers) to take ownership and the growth and development of their careers at Old Mutual Limited.
  • Support the Human Capital community to ensure consistent and efficient execution of the talent management processes.
  • Analyse relevant data, formulate views and opinions, and makes recommendations to enable decision-making on
  • Conduct ongoing research and trend analysis on talent management practices to bring an outside-in perspective to evolve the practice.
  • Qualifications required

  • Relevant qualification at Postgraduate Level. Masters degree is preferable.
  • Preferable: broader experience in the following areas: Talent management, organisational development, change management, and workforce Analytics.
  • Experience required:

  • HR and Talent Management experience; specifically in talent reviews, identification of key talent, career management and development, and talent retention.
  • Previous experience in working in a centre of expertise (COE) is advantageous, working in an above-market / group-wide COE is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to apply this in different business and cultural contexts.
  • Coaching and influencing senior leaders and being seen as a credible source of advice and feedback.
  • A structured and pragmatic approach to analysing information and using this to inform recommendations and implement practical talent solutions
