Sales Representative

We are seeking a Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Mthatha and Transkei, South Africa. This role is focused on off-trade sales, with limited on-con calling on retailers and independents.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategically attain channel-specific availability targets for premium alcohol brands.
• Elevate brand equity by executing initiatives and engagements that drive sales volume.
• Channelize promotions for optimal brand-channel synergy and maximize volume.
• Administer call cycles, ensure accurate coding of outlets, and fulfill all requirements during representative calls.

Promotions and Brand Visibility

• Execute promotions aligned with brand equity standards.
• Implement the National Promotions Strategy meticulously.
• Monitor and optimize promotion ROI.
• Enhance brand visibility through imagery, displays, and merchandising.

Operational Excellence

• Achieve 100% adherence to the call cycle.
• Timely completion of administrative and reporting tasks.

Consumer Interaction

• Responsibly engage with consumers across all touchpoints.
• Gather consumer data aligned with target demographics.
• Relay consumer insights and expectations effectively.

Financial Asset Management

• Adhere to quantity and cycle discount parameters.
• Prompt completion and submission of PODs and credit notes.
• Maintain and upkeep company vehicles.
• Manage vehicle mileage within budgetary limits.

Requirements

• 3-year tertiary education (beneficial).
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in FMCG/Food & Beverage.
• Product, service knowledge, and understanding of category management.
• Knowledge of marketing and accounting principles.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to conceptualise and negotiate.
• Customer orientation.
• Sound interpersonal skills and creativity.
• Team player with ability to work independently using initiative.
