Description

Duties:


  • Auditing and processing taxes and other deductions
  • Keeping and maintaining an organized record of data
  • Responding to inquiries and resolving payment issues
  • Capturing of weekly and monthly wages
  • Workforce of around 400 employees to be paid
  • Coordinate with HR to maintain and update accurate records of employee details. Calculate payable hours, commissions, incentives, any statutory deductions.
  • Calculating tax, maternity pay, sick pay, and national insurance payments
  • Auditing and processing taxes and other deductions
  • Determine the pay and benefits entitlements of employees.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing payroll processing and execute payroll calculations as set out by Blackmagic affiliated entities (such as Bargaining Councils)

Monthly Reporting and Costing

  • Generate all monthly reports pertaining to closeoff, balancing earnings analysis, and statutory deductions for presentation to the Senior administrator to request payment and funds
  • Balance and reconcile the manual payments and the reversals and report on any losses (unrecoverable salaries).
  • Other reporting as required from time to time

Data capturing and data maintenance

  • Input employee information, wage details, and other relevant data relevant for monthly payroll processing for payment on 30th and last day of the month.
  • Populate wage details into any thirdparty systems e.g. online Bargaining Council platforms, and in particular, on the NBCRFLI online system.
  • Provide finalised CSV files (as per requirements from relevant banks) for uploading into the banking platform, for payment of actual payroll.
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency in payroll operations.

Package & Remuneration

  • Matric
  • Diploma in Payroll Administration or other relevant financial background (Beneficial)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience
  • Understanding of South African tax
  • 3 years processing weekly payroll in South Africa
  • 2+ years' experience working with Payspace software

Ability to Commute:

  • Melrose, Gauteng (required)
