    About the Role:
    We are seeking a reputable Pharmacist to join our team at Dis-Chem Pharmacies. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients by taking responsibility for their medicine-related needs and being accountable for meeting those needs.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Provision of pharmaceutical care by evaluating patients' medicine-related needs, dispensing medicines, signing off prescriptions, and furnishing information and advice to patients.
    Furnishing of information and advice to any person with regard to the use of medicine.
    Determining patient compliance with therapy and following up to ensure that patients' medicine-related needs are being met.
    The provision of pharmacist-initiated therapy, compounding, manipulation, preparation or packaging of medicines, and supervision thereof.
    The purchasing, acquiring, importing, keeping, possessing, using, releasing, storage, packaging, re-packaging, supplying or selling of any medicine or scheduled substance, or supervision thereof.

    Key Performance Areas:
    Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner within legal requirements.
    Capture script details accurately and verify patients' details on the system.
    Ensure accurate picking/packing/labeling and checking of medication, and be aware of common dosages as well as important drug interactions.

    Requirements:
    Grade 12/Matric, BPharm/equivalent qualification registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
    Minimum 2-3 years experience in Pharmaceutical retail pharmacy experience.
    Computer literate MS Office advantageous, relevant retail/FMCG experience, third additional language, SAP experience, e-scripting experience, registered tutor, Unisolv experience.

    Competencies:
    Strong command of the English language and a second language.
    Good communication skills, listening, basic dosing, and important drug interaction customer service/focus supervisor experience, able to lead by example, ability to train other staff members conflict management, strong attention to detail sound numerical skills problem-solving team player trustworthy and honest time management able to deal with pressure computer literate MS Office special conditions of employment.
