    About the Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on heap leaching and treatment of mine effluents and solid wastes. This is a key area of focus for Mintek Pty Ltd., with opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing within the organization.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical/metallurgical engineering, with expertise in bioprocesses and mine water and waste challenges. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, providing guidance and support to junior staff.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Developing and implementing research projects, focusing on heap leaching and treatment of mine effluents and solid wastes.
    • Collaborating with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices in the field.
    • Mentoring and supervising junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with research projects.
    • Providing expert advice on equipment and facilities management.
