Camps Bay Retreat is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician (Electric) to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly and safely. As a Maintenance Technician (Electric), you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in our properties.

You will work closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure that our facilities are in top-notch condition.

Your strong technical skills and attention to detail will be essential in identifying and resolving electrical issues. You will also be responsible for general maintenance.


Responsibilities:


  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure their optimal performance.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Respond to emergency electrical issues and provide prompt solutions.
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and coordinate tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports as required.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician (Electric) or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of electrical wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus.
