Timeously prepare and complete accurate estimates and cost comparisons for new business, operations and existing customers.
Compile estimates according to client & business requirements for all transport modes both imports and exports.
Request freight & landside charges from nominated agents and service providers worldwide.
Liaise with various Clients, Shipping lines, Airlines, Agents, Port Authorities and Transporters for rates negotiation.
Liaise with internal departments (i.e., Sales, accounts and Brokerage) to resolve queries.
Establish value add areas for presentations to potential or existing clients.
Complete and assist with tenders for all modes on imports, exports and cross trades for African countries.
Trend rates from potential clients and service providers for benchmarking purposes.
Timeous logging of estimates and comparisons for analysis.
Ensure maximum company profitability.
Status reporting and document organization.
Strong negotiation skills with external stakeholders and procuring freight rates on monthly basis with the airlines and shipping lines.
Ensure all estimates are completed timeously and accurate.
Managing all Outside Service Providers (i.e., Carriers, Airlines and Transporters) in rates procurement.
