    Welcome to Data-Centrix, where we empower our team members to take ownership of complex system migrations. As a System Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless transitions between domains.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Migration Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate information availability. Engage in inquisitive questioning to understand technical requirements during the planning phase.
    • Data Preparation: Receive and prepare lists of usernames, groups, and service accounts from systems scheduled for migration between domains. Utilize Quest for migration preparation.
    • Migration Execution: Initiate and oversee the migration process from one domain to another.
    • Post-Migration Verification: Confirm successful migration completion and manage handovers between key stakeholders.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues when migrations do not proceed as planned.

    Required Working Knowledge:

    • Monitoring & Management: Ensure efficiency of Windows & Virtualization platforms.
    • Security: Policies, procedures, and controls to secure systems.
    • Automation: Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
    • Server OS Management: Expertise in Windows Server OS 2016/2019/2022, including installation, configuration, and hardening.
    • Failover Clustering: Knowledge of failover clustering for Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
    • Maintenance: Hands-on experience with FTP, antivirus, and patching.
    • VMware Expertise: Proficient in VMware ESXi 6.x, 7.x, and 8.0, including installation, implementation, and configuration (vMotion, HA, DRS, datastores).
    • Virtualization Management: Manage production and non-production environments, including Hyper-V servers and clusters.
    • Technical Communication: Present technical information to stakeholders.
    • Performance Analysis: Analyze and report on infrastructure performance.
    • Change Validation: Validate changes on server virtualization/migration platforms.
    • System Center Management: Implement and manage System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
    • Physical Server Management: Manage physical servers, chassis, and VxRail.
    • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors.
    • Troubleshooting: Perform rollback and troubleshooting activities.
