PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Ensure efficient and on time production output of good quality metal machined components.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure that machines in the department are correctly set.
Ensure that machines are maintained by the tech department.
Calibrate closing, APS loading and key cutting machines.
Manage all machine dependent processes to achieve quality levels required.
Manage the quality of base manufactured components.
Manage the efficiency of base manufacturing, marking and assembly processes.
Ensure that SOPs for base manufacturing are in place and comprehensive.
Control and replenish all cutting tips and broaches used in the department.
Schedule and manage base manufacturing to sustain KANBAN levels.
Assist production supervision to execute and achieve production targets.
Ensure that bought out components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Support the production department with LEAN drive and projects.
Manage product testing and quality verification stations.
Ensure that machine housekeeping and 5S standards are achieved.
Resolve root causes of technical issues that result in NCRs and CRSs

3 years in production oversight role (Team leader, supervisor or similar)
