QA Analyst - Heidelberg, South Africa - Eskort
Description
As theQA Analyst, you are responsible for ensuring that food products meet required standards set by Eskort Limited, their customers and regulatory authorities.
To work together with Top Management in maintaining and complying the implemented systems in accordance to the System as well Making sure that Produced that are manufactured by Eskort Limited will not cause any harm to the consumer.
The position primary function is to manage the day-to-day quality control activities to facilitate optimization of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise Quality Controllers
- Assist in development and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System
- Assisting in and performing Food Safety internal audits (HACCP & GMP)
- Assisting and coordinating the Abattoir Hygiene management system.
- Liaising with rawmaterial suppliers in order to maintain SQA program.
- Cocoordinating the entire administration of the Food Safety System.
- Filling and documentation, record control.
- Conduct Food safety inspection.
- Assisting with the investigation of customer complaints.
- Assisting in Allergen program development and management.
- Ensuring that products conform to labelling legislation.
- Conducting sensory evaluations.
- Assisting during factory visits and tours.
- CCP monitoring and temperature control
- Reviewing all microbiological sampling plans, procedures and methodology.
- Manage the pathogen
- Nonconformance (NCR) investigation and report compiling.
- Sourcing quotations from external laboratories and handling lab reports
- Carcass and finished products inspection (quality control checks)
- Labelling and shelf life inspection
- Creating work schedules for the Quality department
- Conduct HACCP, studies
- Ensuring that an effective TACCP and VACCP plan is developed and followed
Experience:
- Ideally 3 years experience in the food industry in quality assurance and food safety.
Qualifications:
- National Diploma/ Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Consumer Science, Quality management or equivalent qualification essential
- Certification in PRP, HACCP and FSSC 22000 would be advantageous
