Company Overview
Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association of South Africa (LPGSA) was established in 1989 and is based in Johannesburg. The association is a non-profit company that represents companies which are involved in the installation, distribution, and retailing of LPG and LPG equipment. LPGSA promotes the safe, compliant use of LPG in South Africa.
Job Purpose
Purpose of the role is to support the implementation of LPGSA's Communications, Digital and Marketing projects.
Brand & Marketing Support
- Champion the brand
- Ensure consistent application of LPGSA's Corporate Identity
- Coordinate development of marketing materials (brochures, presentations, fact sheets)
- Liaise with external designers or service providers where required and conduct first line review
- Ensure stockroom is sufficiently stocked and well maintained
- Develop artwork/templates where required
- Ability to conduct research and compile a report
Digital Communication & Content Coordination
- Assist in implementing LPGSA's digital communication strategy
- Coordinate and monitor content across website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and internal platforms
- Support website updates and content uploads
- Draft and schedule social media posts aligned to safety, inspections, and campaigns
- Maintain content calendar and ensure timely publication
- Monitor engagement, pick up trends and provide basic analytics reports
Campaign Support
· Support development and rollout of LPGSA campaigns
- Participate in brainstorming, prepare briefs, coordinate visuals, messaging, scheduling and post campaign reporting
- Ensure consistent use of campaign branding, key visuals and messages
- Assist in stakeholder awareness initiatives
- Liaise with the agency
Events & Industry Engagement
- Support promotion of LPGSA events, training, inspections, and conferences
- Compile briefs, coordinate event marketing materials and invitations
- Assist with event promotions/communications and post-event reporting
- Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders and external organisers
Member Communication
- Support preparation of newsletters and member updates
- Assist in drafting internal circulars and announcements
- Ensure members are informed prior to public communications
Administrative & Coordination Duties
- Maintain marketing asset library
- Compile and maintain lists for Communications
- Track day to day marketing budget to ensure adherence
- Support reporting on communication activities
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- 3–5 years' experience in marketing or communications
- Experience working in a Marketing department
- Experience managing social media platforms
- Travel required
Advantageous
- Experience in energy, petroleum, or regulated industries
- Graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools)
- Event coordination experience
- Good writing skills
- Video editing and graphics skills
