    Senior Project Manager

    At Mindworx Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our project teams and drive the delivery of complex projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • We are looking for someone who can understand the scope of what needs to be delivered and translate these into comprehensive project plans and schedules.
    • The ideal candidate will conduct and facilitate project planning sessions with project teams, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards common goals.
    • Our Senior Project Manager will develop and maintain project management plans, charters, progress reports, and other essential documentation.
    • They will manage and control the project risk and issue register, ensuring any challenges are identified and addressed promptly.
    • This role requires strong planning and control skills, as well as the ability to plan and control project schedules in line with timelines and target dates.
    • Our successful candidate will be responsible for controlling project quality during and beyond project delivery and execution, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards.
    • We need someone who can manage, lead, allocate, and control project teams and their deliverables, including external delivery partners.
    • Conducting project weekly meetings and/or stand-ups with all project team members is also an essential part of this role.
    • Establishing, managing, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, including senior and executive management, is critical to success.
    • Our Senior Project Manager will control project scope and manage scope change requests, as well as conducting project closeout sessions.
    • Monitoring, controlling, and reporting on project budget and expenditure is another key responsibility of this role.
    • Ensuring compliance to the project management governance framework and supporting processes is also essential.
    • Accurate and regular reporting on assigned projects (Steercom and Exco Reports) is required.

    Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

    • We require 8 - 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in the IT environment, managing projects from inception to closeout, preferably within the Financial Services sector.
    • Experience within insurance is advantageous, but not essential.
    • A sound understanding of short-term insurance is necessary for this role.
    • The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
    • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.

    Estimated Salary:

    $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
