Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician with a background in the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of underground mining equipment.
- Conduct diagnostics on electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize equipment failure.
- Work collaboratively with on-site teams to identify and address any operational issues.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards and site-specific requirements.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to a safe working environment.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and downtime.
- Provide regular feedback and reports on equipment performance and potential improvements.
- Work closely with the maintenance manager to plan and prioritize maintenance schedules based on site requirements.
Travel and Site Support
- Be available for on-call support to address urgent maintenance needs.

Qualifications and Experience

A trade certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical or Millwright is essential.
Minimum of 3 years experience in the mining sector is required.
Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems used in underground mining equipment is necessary.
The candidate must be medically fit and have a clear criminal record.
