    Job Description

    The Project Planner will develop comprehensive project plans, manage schedules, and collaborate with suppliers to meet project timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements. This role demands exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with advanced proficiency in MS Projects, to deliver projects on time in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, using MS Projects to achieve project objectives.
    • Regularly monitor and update project schedules, identifying and resolving potential delays.
    • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Prepare progress reports and present updates to stakeholders.
    • Establish relationships with suppliers to source required materials and components for mining ventilation systems.
    • Coordinate procurement timelines to align with project schedules.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency.
    • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
    • Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Analyze project outcomes to identify areas for improvement in planning and execution processes.

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
    • PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning within the mechanical engineering or manufacturing industry.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Projects for project scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
    • Strong understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
    • Familiarity with mining industry standards and regulations.
    • Experience in cost control and budgeting.
