    Matric and tertiary qualification
    Extensive product knowledge of earthmoving, construction and industrial equipment is essential : rental and new equipment.
    Clear understanding of the yellow metal market in south Africa
    Proven track record in selling excavators, wheel loaders and dozers into the south African market
    Minimum 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service and sales.
    Extensive knowledge of the industry and customer requirements and expectations

    The Sales Manager is a key person in the relationship between the company and our new and prospective clients in order to grow divisional sales and build customer brand loyalty
    Facilitates the sale and rental of equipment in order to meet targets
    Networks with existing and potential customers and business partners to drive growth in the division
    Sources new business leads
    Targeting & Grading / qualifying of customers
    Submission of weekly call reports
    Build effective business relationships with industry professionals
    Good network and customer base in Gauteng region
    Strategic thinker and ability to analyse CONMESA data
    Proficient in Microsoft packages, excel, word etc
    Keeping current with competitor products, service offerings and activities
    Reporting and updating the market intelligence system
    Reporting of competitor behaviour and offerings
    Meet Sales targets in own territory
    Planning quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily on a continuous basis
    Grow market share by implementing own business initiatives in area
    Share best practices with colleagues to improve efficiency in the field
    Meeting sales targets within territory
    Commercial and business awareness
