PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To ensure optimal usage of holiday rentals and increase occupancies throughout the year by managing the revenue management and oversee the day-to-day yield operations of the Resort.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Implement revenue management operations, strategies, procedures and processes.
- Play an active role in pricing strategies.
- Forecasting future demand, pricing trends and revenue performance.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and maximize revenue through all booking channels, working closely with the sales, marketing, and group revenue teams in the areas of promotions and business planning.
- Gathering information about the market and analyzing the needs of customers. This will include account management with various distribution partners.
- Rate implementation and setup across multiple systems.
- Implementation and adjustments of promotions and packages across multiple systems.
- Inventory protection overrides across multiple systems as and when required.
- Recommendations for promotional close outs and restrictions across systems.
- Deposit and Cancellation policy setup and update as and when required.
- Rate parity monitoring, resolutions and updates.
- Ensure that all unreleased inventory is accounted for and approved by liaising with the Stock Department.
- Monitoring and resolution of availability issues, includes troubleshooting issues on Opera and OXIs.
- Daily updates on revenue performance and insights. This includes regular calls with the Resort General Manager and Rental Director.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Accurate and high attention to detail
- Professional and excellent communication skills
- Technically minded (Adept with system concepts and multiple integrations)
- Ability to take initiative.
- Confident and good organizational skills
QUALIFCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Business Management Diploma / Degree
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- System experience of Opera and IdeaS Pricing System (preferable).
- Advanced Microsoft knowledge (Excel, Word, Teams, Power BI, Outlook)
- Knowledge of travel industry distribution systems, channel managers, travel agents, tour operators and online travel agents.
