Background:


API Solutions International is a company based in Prospecton, south of Durban, primarily engaged in the supply of specialized parts and services required in the process of manufacturing sugar.


Location:

Prospecton, Durban


Job Summary:


As a technical sales representative for our engineering services tailored to the sugar industry, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with existing clients, and promoting our services to key stakeholders within the sugar manufacturing sector.

You will work closely with our technical team to understand client needs and tailor solutions that address their unique challenges and goals.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and preferences.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the sugar industry.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our technical team to understand and articulate the value proposition of our engineering services.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements in collaboration with the management team.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts.

Requirements:


  • A suitable technical qualification.
- a proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the engineering or sugar industrial services sector.

  • Knowledge of the sugar industry, including production processes, challenges, and trends, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Selfmotivated, with a resultsdriven approach to achieving sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Salary:
Up to R25 000,00 per month


Experience:

- technical sales: 2 years (preferred)


Ability to Relocate:

  • Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Relocate before starting work (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (required)
