General ManagerThis iconic hotel consists of 26 rooms and has two restaurants/bars. It employs ±75 staff.
Hours:
- Minimum of 45 hours per week but as the senior management member this may be extended based on occupancies and functions.
- Good experience managing mediumsized hotels, with specific focus on food and beverage operations.
- Strong human resources and industrial relations skills with experience in managing a ±75 strong work force.
- Strong leadership skills with good management, training, and organisational capabilities.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure.
- Ability to develop, document and implement standard operating procedures.
- Good understanding of the finance function including management accounts, budgets, payroll etc.
- Good understanding of reception and reservations practices
- Good experience in customer relations including the handling of guest complaints and social media commentary.
- Solid IT skills with proficiency and understanding of stock control and point of sale systems.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and implementation.
