Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
- Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and quotas
- Assist with the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
- Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into longterm partnerships
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Present products to prospective clients and management
- Meet sales targets
- Provide professional aftersales support to maximise customer loyalty
- Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs
- Respond to complaints and resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction and maintain the company's reputation
- Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
- Prepare the tender costing documents and prepare a response time for the same.
- Ensure all the requirements of the tender documents are complied with and list out the noncompliance if any.
- Assist with the Tender or RFQ pricing and liaise with Finance Consultant or CEO for confirmation and alignment as per the requirements of the tender or RFQ under supervisor's guidance.
- Liaise with the CEO, Business Development, Operations, and Finance stakeholders to ascertain compliance and incorporate the data obtained in the Tender Costing, where applicable.
- Attend clarification meetings and site visits scheduled by clients and prepare a formal response, especially from a pricing perspective.
- Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Organisational and timemanagement skills
- A business acumen
- Enthusiastic and passionate
- Out of the box thinker, gogetter
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience and skill in prioritising tasks
- Knowledge to conduct market research, sales and negotiating principles
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce, Zoho) is a plus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- High School education, sales or marketing or similar qualification
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
