Job Advert Summary:

Efficiently maintain and implement Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems - Requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12/Standard 10
National Diploma in Safety Management & or SAMTRAC, Modern Safety Management or proof of relevant prior learning through Rand Water's Development Programmes or equivalent.
Degree in Safety Management will be an advantage
ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 standards training & knowledge and that of relevant legislation
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
Valid Code 08 driver's license and ability to pass Rand Waters K53 test
2 Years practical experience in managing H&S
Experience in SHEQ Auditing and Quality Management Systems

Primary Duties:

To ensure Protection of RW assets
To create and track requisitions and to work within the approved budget
Make decisions regarding to methods of Occupational Health and Safety Programme
Conduct incident investigations
Conduct monthly plant investigations and compile a formal report
Conduct safety awareness's
Conduct Contractor Management
Ensure legal appointments are up to date
Conduct risk assessments
Ensure compliance to OHS Act, all governance, statutory and regulatory requirements
Maintain ISO 45001 certification
Attend to safety complaints
Attend SHE Committee meetings and give report on monthly incidents
Attend Management Review meetings and give presentation on safety status
Promote Safety, Health and Environmental Management
Participate in issues relating to Health & Safety
Prepare and support the site for internal and external audit
To report all incidents on time
