    Regional Sales Manager - Pinetown, KZN (Commercial Vehicle Industry)

    Job Title

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Our ideal candidate will possess the following minimum requirements and personal attributes:

    • Tertiary sales qualification
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (trucks and heavy machinery)
    • Valid Code 8 driver's license and own vehicle
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PPT
    • Experience in the commercial/truck industry
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
    • Confident and proactive approach with the ability to anticipate issues and requirements

    Training and Development

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for dealer business to ensure specialist knowledge is available to assist and advise branch and dealer staff quickly within the sales and aftersales departments
    • Monitor and evaluate training offered to the dealer network to ensure consistent training attendance by FAW branch and dealer staff
    • Collaborate with dealers to set up training plans to upskill staff members and create a strong team
    • Participate in relevant training programs to maintain continued competence within the business and assist with mentoring internal staff to ensure backup plans are in place
    • Maintain positive staff morale at dealers and branches and assist in resolving any problem areas that may impact the brand
    • Manage work efficiently with clear communication and strive to maintain a high-quality work ethic at all times to improve skills and dealer/branch staff

    Sales Targets

    • Achieve 100% vehicle sales targets with dealers
    • Financial Management: Budget and Asset Control
    • Ensure planning and cost-saving control operational budgets, including travel and vehicle use, to remain within allocated fuel budgets and prevent waste
    • Control debtor's books, ensuring payments to parts and vehicle stock are made within required policy time frames, and all vehicles invoiced to customers are settled within 48 hours
    • Ensure asset vehicle management on approved loan and demo unit usage within the region adheres to agreed usage and timeline parameters, with no overdue usage allowed
    • Conduct regular return assessments and report results

    Dealer Support

    • Visit dealers in the region at least six times per year, providing feedback through visit templates and highlighting areas for improvement
    • Assist dealers in developing business plans with measurable objectives to improve all aspects of their business
    • Resolve any business problems faced by dealers using the PDCA cycle and collaborate with the head office to implement countermeasures protecting the brand
    • Work with the internal marketing team to ensure successful implementation of marketing efforts at dealers, promoting brand awareness and leveraging sales
    • Maintain customer complaint resolution and positively manage the brand
    • Assist branches and dealers in obtaining and retaining key accounts through regular visits as per schedule

    Specialist Individual Competency

    • Acquire and maintain specialist knowledge in specialized segments to act as a specialist agent both internally and within the dealer network
    • Participate in forums to stay informed about industry needs and share insights with colleagues to optimize sales in this segment

    Package & Remuneration

    R 45,000 - R 55,000 monthly, plus medical allowance and provident fund
