Eddies Saloon, located in 9th Street, Lae, Morobe Province, is a licensed club offering patrons bar, pool table, and poker machine facilities.

It currently operates from Monday to Saturday.

The PNG Government has recently advised that they would like all gaming venues to extend trading to 7 days per week and weexpect to be operating 7 days in the near future.

Eddies Saloon has been operatingsince 2000 and employs 19 staff. Roles include bar staff, security, and cleaners.

The role of Night Shift Manager is to manage Eddie's Saloon's nightly operations.


Role and Responsibilities

Hours of work
Accepted full time working hours in Papua New Guinea are 42 hours per week.


Responsibilities:

Manage the rostering of staff.

Manage the recruitment of staff.

Manage weekly internal promotional activities through effective marketing.

Develop relationships with supplier sales teams and coordinate their promotions at Eddies Saloon

Manage the financial systems on a daily basis including banking, outgoing payments, invoices, bank reconciliations.

Provide information and support for the preparation of financial reports.

Oversee staff training as required.

Ensure that proper records of all transactions are maintained.

Ensure that cash is balanced at the end of each night.

Ensure fridges are stocked nightly.

Ensure storeroom stock levels are monitored and maintained at a suitable level.

Undertake nightly stocktakes.

Be responsible for banking of nightly takings asrequired.

Maintain orderly behaviour of all patrons at all times.

Prepare nightly and weekly reports for the General Manager as required.

Oversee rostered staff and ensure they are providing goodand timely customer service together with the responsible service of alcohol.

Ensure the club is clean and maintained.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

Qualifications:
Sound secondary education, tertiary qualifications in management, marketing, business, or other relevant disciplines would be advantageous.

Managerial experience - at least 3 years of experience

Bookkeeping experience would also be highly regarded.

Work experience:

Must have experience in managing staff, patrons and be able to supervise writing up daily reports, bookkeeping, stocktaking, cash management, statistics etc.


Personal attributes:
Mature personality, of sober habits, responsible, accountable, and be able to command respect from staff and patrons alike.


Probation period
The role of Night Shift Manager includes a 3-month probationary period. Within this period either party may terminate the employment agreement with one week's notice.

Salary:
From R25,000.00 per month
