We are looking for professional, enthusiastic, motivated, and exceptional
Payroll Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Randburg. The individual must have Call Centre Experience and advance MS Excel experience.


Job description

Key Purpose of the role

  • End to end payroll processing
  • Accurately and timeously execute transactional and processing activities
  • Executes complex payroll processes
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements and quality standards
  • Identify and manage potential risk
  • Must be able use batches on Sage300

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to;:

  • Attending to all queries.
  • Assisting with internal and external payroll queries
  • Assist walk in clients at payroll front desk
  • Reconciliation of input and salaries at QA's and Recon stage
  • Calculation and preparation of claw backs
  • Processing of new hires
  • Processing various deductions for employees
  • Preparing manual salary adjustment payments
  • Processing terminations
  • Update changes in banking details, marital status, job titles, job levels etc.
  • Prepare UI19, UI27 and salary schedules forms for department of labour.
  • Process leave forms.
  • Daily filing and scanning
  • Maintain good relationships with service providers and 3rd parties.
  • Maintain good relationships with HRA's and Cost Centre managers within I-Talk
  • Provide payslips and IRP
  • Audit and assist with the annual tax recon process for South Africa
  • Ensure that monthly audits are done to ensure all employees have a valid tax number.
  • Effectively manage all queries relating to late payments or nonpayments
  • Weekly check hierarchies and update for correctness

  • Accurate and attention to detail
  • Advance MS Excel and reporting (An assessment will be conducted)
  • Excellent MS Word and Outlook skills
  • Take the initiative to make quick decisions.
  • Ability to find solutions to problems.
  • Meet deadlines and targets.

Education and Experience:


  • Minimum matric with mathematics and accounting
  • Certificate/ diploma in Accounting/Finance or Human Resource Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Payroll administration and 2 years in a supervisory role, in a call centre environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Basic Condition of Employment Act (BCEA), payroll processing, report writing and PAYE.
  • Experience with Sage300 and Employee Self-Service (ESS) a must have.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skill will be an added advantage.
