KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Fundraising and Stakeholder Engagement
- Implements the fundraising strategy in compliance with capital raisingpolicies and procedures
- Identifies and contacts potential new funders to establish rapport,
value to existing partners
- Researches, assesses and maps qualifying potential funders
- Develops and presents compelling hedge funding / senior management partnership proposals to potential partners
- Nurtures longterm, sustainable partnerships that leads to additional
- Develops and maintain funder relationships and networks
- Negotiates contract terms with funders and communicates decisions to stakeholders
- Responds to tenders that will assist the GPF meet its diversification of income goals
- Implements innovative solutions to fasttrack capital raising
- Conducts ongoing market research to identify capital raising trends and opportunities for the GPF
- Works closely with the project costing business unit to create proposals
- Drives the endtoend fundingraising cycle and processes in collaboration with the relevant business units in order to ensure coordination and consistency with GPF's program priorities
- Sourcing of national and international donor funding in support of the GPF Strategic Objectives as well as funding available from government sources to augment and supplement GPF's programme
Reporting and Compliance
- Ensures compliance to contracts with funders
- Prepares and submits business intelligence reports
- Compiles and presents progress reports to funders and GPF's governance structures
Internal and external stakeholder management
- Conduct periodic site visits.
- Maintain customer relationship management with all existing borrowers.
APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor of Commerce Degree with specialization in accounting and or Finance / Structured Finance / Capital Raising / Investments or relevant qualification at NQF level 7. A Postgraduate qualification in (NQF level 8) in Finance / Structured Finance / Capital Raising / Investments at NQF level 8 will be advantageous
- Completion of Regulatory Exam 5 in terms of the FAIS Act
- Minimum 10 years' experience in capital raising / fundraising / banking / investments / Environmental, Social and Government space
- A proven track record of sustainable and impactful capital raising
