Contribute to academic initiatives undertaken by the department and faculty to enhance teaching and learning environment.
Supervise and manage department postgraduate students.
Support the Faculty research initiatives through undertaking research and contributing towards group research.

  • Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
    Minimum Requirements:
Senior Lecturer

  • Doctoral qualification: Doctor of Commerce / Doctor of Human Resources or related fields including Industrial / Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development and Labour Relations.
  • At least four (4) years' relevant teaching experience in Higher Education.

Recommended:
Senior Lecturer


  • And an underpinning NQF Level 9 (Masters or equivalent) in Human Resource Management or related fields including Industrial / Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development and Labour Relations.
  • Evidence of accredited research outputs and successful postgraduate supervision.

Minimum Requirements:
Lecturer


  • Master's degree (NQF level 9) in Human Resource Management or related fields including Industrial / Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development and Labour Relations.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience within a higher education environment.

  • And an underpinning NQF Level 8 (Honours / Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent) in Human Resource Management or related fields including Industrial / Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development and Labour Relations.
  • Evidence of postgraduate supervision and publications.
  • RECOMMENDED (for both Senior Lecturer / Lecturer):
  • Knowledge and experience of hybrid teaching and learning models (face-to-face and online learning).
  • Knowledge of the higher education landscape in SA.
  • South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) professional registration.
