Description

Responsibilities

  • Sales and marketing of the company's products and concept to current and potential clients in the designated region.
  • Expanding the client base and sales within the assigned territory through the company's concept.
  • Achieving predetermined targets set by management.
  • Managing existing client relationships to retain and secure ongoing business opportunities using the company's concept.
  • Overseeing relationships with business associates, including clients, distribution agents, logistics contractors, and warehousing agents.
  • Defining and accomplishing distribution and growth objectives and sales goals within the assigned geographic area through effective management.
  • Introducing new products, enhancing distribution, and ensuring successful promotional outcomes.
  • Keeping up to date with market conditions, strategically planning sales efforts, identifying new opportunities within each account, and maintaining necessary territory records.
  • Conducting educational training for clients and associations through seminars and trade events.
  • Establishing trust and confidence with farmers through product knowledge, persuasive presentations, and addressing objections.
  • Preparing sales and administrative reports regarding activities and sharing them with the company's management.
  • Assisting in stock management, including recordkeeping, forecasting, and ordering necessary stocks for the company's operations within the specific area.

Qualifications

  • Matric qualification (High School Diploma equivalent)
  • BSc in Agriculture or related field

Competencies

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in team management/supervision.
  • Previous experience as a Technical Advisor or Agronomist is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Afrikaans and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Agricultural sales experience is beneficial.
  • Strong oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Demonstrated abilities in decisionmaking, planning, and motivation.
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities for the benefit of the company.
  • Familiarity with marketing techniques and concepts relevant to the agriculture sector.
