Description
Responsibilities
- Sales and marketing of the company's products and concept to current and potential clients in the designated region.
- Expanding the client base and sales within the assigned territory through the company's concept.
- Achieving predetermined targets set by management.
- Managing existing client relationships to retain and secure ongoing business opportunities using the company's concept.
- Overseeing relationships with business associates, including clients, distribution agents, logistics contractors, and warehousing agents.
- Defining and accomplishing distribution and growth objectives and sales goals within the assigned geographic area through effective management.
- Introducing new products, enhancing distribution, and ensuring successful promotional outcomes.
- Keeping up to date with market conditions, strategically planning sales efforts, identifying new opportunities within each account, and maintaining necessary territory records.
- Conducting educational training for clients and associations through seminars and trade events.
- Establishing trust and confidence with farmers through product knowledge, persuasive presentations, and addressing objections.
- Preparing sales and administrative reports regarding activities and sharing them with the company's management.
- Assisting in stock management, including recordkeeping, forecasting, and ordering necessary stocks for the company's operations within the specific area.
Qualifications
- Matric qualification (High School Diploma equivalent)
- BSc in Agriculture or related field
Competencies
- Minimum 3 years of experience in team management/supervision.
- Previous experience as a Technical Advisor or Agronomist is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in Afrikaans and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Agricultural sales experience is beneficial.
- Strong oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Programs.
- Demonstrated abilities in decisionmaking, planning, and motivation.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities for the benefit of the company.
- Familiarity with marketing techniques and concepts relevant to the agriculture sector.
