A well-established Cellular Company is looking for a Stock Controller based in Claremont.
The company moves at a fast pace and this is done through a supportive, efficient and hard-working head office team.
To support their ongoing operational improvement, the company is looking for an experienced stock controller to manage their inventory management system, processes and ensure ongoing, high quality stock control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Processing of inventory, ordering and managing stock across all the retail stores from stock ordering templates receiving to despatching, including purchase orders and supplier invoices on both handsets and accessories.
- Invoicing and placing of purchase orders.
- Pull sales reports and stock on hand statuses daily for management.
- Responsible for correctly capturing and balancing inventory.
- Process stock across all stores.
- Coordinate daily activities with Store Managers.
- Ensure that stock take is accurate, runs and reconciles with electronic reports.
- Coordinate internal stock transfers
- Maintain a steady flow of stock from storage to where it is needed.
- Perform regular inventory audits and stock spot checks
Requirements:
- Minimum Matric and ideally a relevant tertiary qualification
- Drivers' licence
- Previous experience as a stock controller in the cellular industry
- Excellent numeracy skills. Organised and accurate.
- Indepth knowledge and experience of inventory management and best practices.
- Inventory software experience
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Process driven person who understands that accuracy is critical.
- Exceptional attention to detail with good organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, collaboration, and communication abilities.
- Experience in the cellular industry would be an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure as this is a high pressurised environment.
- Analyzing supply chain data to ensure uninterrupted availability of stock.
- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock.
- Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed.
- Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays.
