- Create designs from conceptualisation to highly finished creative/designs (including research into the relevant areas) Involvement in the full concept process, from the prototype stages through to production
- Provide fresh thinking, strong ideas, and a high level of craftsmanship across all elements of design
- Prepare and present draft designs to Marketing Manager and Head of Studio for review and approval. Managing the feedback and changes received with a good communication and efficiency
- Proactive ownership of the artwork generation [taking brand guidelines and visual identity into account] whilst adhering to agreed timelines, within a fast-paced environment environment
- Ensure work is efficiently provided to schedule and within the set deadlines. Ability to react timeously and efficiently to ad hoc last-minute briefs within tight deadlines
- Multitasking numerous creative executions effectively
- Collaboration with various stakeholders or with the design/marketing team. This would also include full involvement in the reviewing process of creative work produced by oneself and fellow designers
- Generate a range of creative outputs ranging from brochures, fact sheets, promotional material, newsletters, posters, emailers and presentations to website material, digital assets, social media creative and other
- Strong typographical, layout, visual hierarchy and proofreading skills. Responsible for spotting errors before artwork leaves the studio
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders as necessary to ensure all required briefs are delivered within specified timeframes. Engage with a range of audiences and in support of the strategic priorities
- Working closely with the appointed brand agency to interpret campaign work and ensure that additional campaign creation is produced per VI guides
- Ensure brand consistency in all visual designs created to maintain a cohesive brand image across the CI
- Staying abreast of design trends and techniques
- Fully proficient in Adobe Creative Suite [Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign] and MS Office
- A creative thinker, excellent at idea generation and visualisation
- Ability to verbally and visually communicate effectively
- An eye for detail and a methodical organised way of working even when multi-tasking
- A good understanding of the print process and setting up artwork correctly for print
- Knowledge of animation and digital design is advantageous
- Minimum of a Degree in Visual Communication / Graphic Design / Communication Design with a strong design portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects across multiple mediums
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience within a Design capacity gained in house or within an agency
