    Group Legal Advisor/ HR Manager

    An opportunity exists for an admitted attorney to take on a key role within the organization, utilizing their energetic and proactive approach to contribute to the team's success.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Employee Relations: Provide expert guidance and support on human resources issues to employees and management, aligning with established HR practices and company culture.
    2. Industrial Relations: Ensure the organization's disciplinary code and policies are compliant with relevant statutory Acts, advising management on disciplinary procedures and handling interactions with Bargaining Councils and unions.
    3. Recruitment and Retention: Oversee all recruitment activities, driving strategies to attract and retain top talent.
    4. HR Administrative Systems: Maintain a seamless system for employment contracts, reporting, and ensure efficient operation of all HR processes.
    5. Training and Development: Identify skill gaps, design and implement suitable programs, evaluate outcomes, and develop reports, collaborating with FP&M Seta and facilitating employee induction programs.
    6. Company Policies and Procedures: Ensure all company policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with legislation.
    7. Employment Equity: Update the Employment Equity Plan and Reports, manage EE committee meetings, and submit required documents to the Department of Labour.
    8. Provide comprehensive legal advice and assistance to companies within the group.
    9. National travel may be required from time to time.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
    • 5-10 years of experience in HR and IR field
    • LLB degree is essential, accompanied by a minimum of 5-10 years working experience
