Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in the Building Services Sector. The ideal candidate will possess a B.Eng. or BSc in Mechanical Engineering and have over 10 years of post-qualification experience.
Qualifications
Experience
The candidate should have extensive experience in designing systems specifically for the Healthcare Sector, particularly in hospitals. Proficiency in mechanical design and installations, including:
Experience in preparing tenders and bills of quantities, along with knowledge of various contracts such as JBCC and NEC3, is essential.
Project Management
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage large-scale projects (service value exceeding R50 million) independently, including mega projects (service value exceeding R100 million) without supervision.
Site Inspections
Vast experience in conducting site inspections, condition assessments, and generating comprehensive reports is required.
Mentorship
A minimum of 5 years' experience in mentoring junior engineers is necessary.
