The specifications of the position are as follows:
Tax compliance:
- Completion of annual income tax returns for Trusts, Exempt Institutions and Companies
- Preparation and submission of provisional tax returns
- Preparation of Dividends tax returns
- Completion of Withholding Tax returns
- Completion of USA tax returns for individuals as well as USA company tax
Other:
- Knowledge of USA Tax Legislation is advantageous but not crucial
- Handling of Provisional tax para 19 queries
- Handling of SARS audits and IT14SD declarations
- General understanding of accounting principles
Requirements:
- Applicants should be a South African citizen
- Degree or Tax Diploma
- A good understanding of the Tax Act and Tax Administration Act
Be a registered tax practitioner with SARS:
Be a registered member of The SAIT:- Must have a valid Driver's license and a Vehicle
- At least 2 years' practical compliance/advisory experience
- Excellent numerical skills
- High stress threshold, effective interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties
- Effective communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient on E Filing
