    Our client is entering a new phase where operational and commercial excellence are key to success. As part of their strategic vision, they are seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a team of data scientists and analysts in driving data-driven decision-making. This role involves developing machine learning models, managing data infrastructure, and transforming business objectives into actionable insights to build a successful fintech business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and implement advanced analytics and statistical techniques to drive business decisions and optimize results.
    2. Collaborate with product teams to analyze company and customer data, providing insights that inform business strategies and improve outcomes.
    3. Leverage internal and external datasets to build and refine predictive models using best practices and industry-standard methodologies.
    4. Design and develop the next-generation foundational BankTech data infrastructure, enabling the delivery of actionable insights that drive value-generating outcomes.

    Requirements:

    1. Masters Degree in Finance, Commerce, Statistics or related field.
    2. MBA or equivalent experience.
    3. Understanding of emerging markets and global economic trends.
    4. Proven experience in ecommerce and electronic payment businesses.
    5. At least 8 years of relevant work experience as a Data Engineer/Data Scientist.
    6. Minimum 2 years in a managerial/leadership role.
    7. 3+ years' experience within non-traditional FinTech, Banking or Financial Services Sector.
    8. Expertise in Data Science and Data Analysis within banking, finance, and/or telecommunications industries.
    9. Experience in Data Engineering within banking or financial services industries.
    10. Strong understanding of enterprise-scale systems and technologies used in data infrastructures.
    11. Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
    12. Proficiency in Python, SAS, R, Scala, and other relevant programming languages.
    13. Familiarity with Hadoop, Apache Spark, and related Big Data technologies.
    14. Demonstrated ability to utilize software tools for data querying and reporting.
    15. Highly proficient in database management systems like Postgres, Oracle, Mongo, MSSQL.
    16. Experience in data analysis and management, business performance management, and/or reporting within the financial sector or banking industry.
    17. Experience working in medium to large organizations.
    18. Experience working across global locations/regions and an understanding of political, social, infrastructure, and integrity challenges.
