    Company Overview: RTT is a dynamic and innovative company seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the performance compliance of contracted drivers in assigned stores/clusters.

    Estimated Salary: R 250,000 - R 350,000 per annum, based on location and experience.

    Job Description: The Operations Manager will ensure quality outputs of functional operations in accordance with client service level agreements, standard operating procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring compliance of branded/unbranded assets and resources for contractors to deliver their services as per the service level agreement, and assisting with operations-based projects to incumbent new contractors and/or stores.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage performance objectives of clusters, monitor and apply corrective measures on performance exceptions in accordance with policies and procedures
    • Coordinate, manage, and control contracted driver availability schedules daily and weekly as per cluster requirements
    • Daily weekly compliance checks on drivers and assets to ensure they meet all legal and regulatory conditions to deliver their services to Pingo
    • Maintain daily face-to-face interaction with independent contractors, execute on-the-job training where required, and deal with driver queries promptly
    • Obtain driver feedback and actively pursue plans to address any barriers to performance and/or to improve alignment to the business imperatives
    • Review and make recommendations to improve driver self-service to empower drivers to obtain the required resources to deliver against the expectations of the business
    • Daily and weekly engagement with contracted drivers on all facets of the business to determine if there are any challenges they are experiencing and actively work to resolve driver issues that will inhibit performance
    • Accurately and timeously report in-field incidents/accidents in line with company departmental policies and provide support functions to contracted drivers on incidents and accidents
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cluster through making recommendations and suggestions to the Area Manager
    • Collate and submit budget inputs as required

    Required Skills and Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4 (essential), Diploma in supply chain management/transportation/safety management or equivalent at NQF level 5 (essential), Code B Driver's License (essential), and at least 3 years working experience in an operations environment (essential). One year experience in supervisory capacity (desirable).
