Junior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Technician

National Diploma (Instrumentation) / BTECH (Instrumentation)

One year post qualification minimum

Valid passport

Responsibilities

• Involvement in Process & Instrumentation Diagram development and tender deliverables when required
• Assist with pricing for E, C & I scope for internal databases and tender
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams locally and internationally
• Involvement in Project design
• Preparation and management of Instrument datasheets and communication with all instrument vendors, locally and abroad when required.
• Assistance with the preparation of the following design documents:
• P&ID's and comment lists
• Control / Actuated Valve and Instrument lists
• Control system IO Lists
• Cable schedules (Electrical & Instrumentation)
• Junction box and remote I/O Panel design
• Termination & loop drawings
• Instrument Power distribution
• Updating Hook-up drawings based on client specifications
• Any other E, C&I documentation required on the contract or internal use
• Electrical load lists, single line diagrams, control stations etc. as required.
• Assist with Procurement activities
• Preparation of Request for Quotations (RFQ's) for instruments and control valves
• Preparation of RFQ's for Systems integration hardware & Software
• Preparation of any other E, C&I related RFQ's
• Adjudication of bids with E, C & I Engineer and the process department
• Placement of orders
• Expediting of orders
