    Description

    Junior Financial Accountant Role

    This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the trial balance for the division.

    • Relevant month-end Journals are posted correctly.
    • Intercompany contracts with accurate prices and tonnages are utilized.
    • Safex, Hedges, and Forex allocations are properly made.
    • The division's income statement is analyzed.
    • The division's balance sheet recons are prepared.
    • All division creditors are reviewed.
    • Site stock counts, procedures, stock gain loss analysis, and stock reporting are also reviewed.

    Reporting to the Site Financial Accountant and Group Finance Manager.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Management account journals and Balance Sheet recons are managed.
    • The Management account Income Statement is analyzed.
    • Stock gain loss analysis is reviewed.
    • Creditors recons are reviewed.
    • Control and procedure issues are identified.
    • Contract management for the division involves matching Safex to Hedges to Forex and finally to product produced and sold.

    Desired Experience & Qualifications

    • Experience in month-end close process is essential.
    • Knowledge of IFRS and taxation is required.
    • A good understanding of Safex, Hedges, and Forex is necessary.
    • Maintaining and creating processes and controls around stock management is crucial.
    • Experience in manufacturing and FMCG environment is desirable.
    • A Finance Degree or Diploma is required.
    • 2-5 years relevant experience is preferred.
    • SAGE ERP experience is advantageous.
