    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the factory's maintenance schedule, ensuring accurate records of all maintenance activities, and suggesting improvements for planned maintenance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the factory's maintenance schedule to optimize production and meet deadlines.
    • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including job cards, breakdowns, fault-finding, and repairs.
    • Suggest improvements for planned maintenance to reduce downtime and improve overall efficiency.
    • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, including calibration by external contractors.
    • Conduct daily machine set-ups to meet production goals and ensure smooth operation.
    • Handle general building maintenance, including treating effluent to meet municipal standards.
    • Act as a Health & Safety Representative and support the Spill Team in handling spills.
    • Provide electrical support to Sales Reps and prepare monthly SHEQ reports.
    • Train others to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.
    • Maintain compliance for audits and manage contractors and projects effectively.

    Personal Attributes:

    • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Accurate and timely results, with attention to detail and strong leadership skills.
    • Positive and self-motivated individual who can handle pressure well and work honestly and reliably.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • Millwright Trade Test.
    • Experience in manufacturing, including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of pneumatics and electro-pneumatics, pump and motor repairs, and basic PLC knowledge.
    • Instrumentation and calibration, building maintenance, and proficiency with hand and electrical tools.
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
