    Description

    Job Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software developer to join our team at ParaCon-Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing C/C++ applications on Linux servers, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance, request, and update system progress.
    • Design, specify, code, test, maintain, and document applications, utilities, libraries, existing infrastructure, and servers.
    • Take on existing projects, upgrade artifacts as part of server upgrades onto newer Ubuntu OS versions.
    • Create and work with mission-critical operational services that run 24/7.
    • Experience in analysis and design of utilities and libraries to be developed.
    • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementation.
    • SQL database design, querying, and processing.
    • Application integrations using REST/WebAPI/Microservices.
    • Bash command scripting and networking expertise (TCP/IP, UDP, iptables, routing tables).

    Required Qualifications

    • Degree or Diploma in Information Systems or Computer Science.
    • Minimum 5 years of work experience developing C/C++ on Linux servers.

    Addtional Skills and Knowledge

    • Radius integrations.
    • Ipsets and pmacct.
    • DHCP and DNS knowledge.
    • Python scripting.
    • Automation expertise.
