    Stock Controller Job Overview

    A leading electronic security company based in Krugersdorp is seeking a skilled stock controller to oversee and manage its stock inventory.

    The ideal candidate will have knowledge of electronic security components including CCTV systems, alarms, access control and public address equipment. Experience in a related industry would be advantageous.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Monitor delivery schedules and resolve any delays or issues that may arise.
    • Develop and implement effective stock control procedures to minimize losses and optimize stock levels.
    • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to forecast future stock requirements and ensure timely deliveries.
    • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Oversee the movement of stock between the technical department, demo rooms and installation sites.
    • Maintain close relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address any quality concerns.
    • Ensure proper storage conditions are maintained for sensitive electronic components to prevent damage.
    • Update the inventory management system regularly with new stock arrivals, dispatches and adjustments.
    • Respond to stock-related queries from internal teams and provide solutions where necessary.
    • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and stockouts (OOS).
    • Oversee stock storage processes including tagging, boxing and labeling.
    • Vehicle Management - Monitor Service Schedules, booking in/out of vehicles.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • A minimum of two years experience in stock or inventory management, preferably within the electronics or security sector.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
    • Familiarity with electronic security products and basic understanding of electronics components and their storage requirements.
    • Ability to use barcoding and RFID systems.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies or anomalies.
    • Effective communication skills for liaising with different departments.
    • Problem-solving skills to address any stock-related challenges.
    • Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
    • Strong people and communication skills.

    Remuneration Package

    Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
