We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport and delivery of goods to various destinations, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and road safety. This role requires a commitment to adhering to all traffic laws and company policies, ensuring customer satisfaction with every delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles in a safe and lawful manner.
• Transport goods and materials to designated locations according to delivery schedules and planned routes.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
• Load and unload cargo safely and securely, ensuring items are properly stowed to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, working hours, fuel consumption, and all necessary transport documentation (e.g., logbooks, delivery notes, fuel slips).
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, fleet controllers, and customers, providing updates on delivery status and potential delays.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and transportation regulations.
• Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid commercial driver's license Code 14
• Minimum of [e.g., 2-3] years of proven experience as a truck driver in a similar role.
• Clean driving and criminal record with no major violations.
• Sound knowledge of road routes, transport legislation, and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
• Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English (or specified language).
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle long hours or flexible shifts, including weekends, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From R12 000,00 per month

Experience:

• Driving a horse and trailer : 5 years (Required)
• Transportation of goods : 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:
