    Job Summary

    The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with clients to ensure project deliverables align with defined scope and expectations. He or she will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless execution of projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Daily collaboration and alignment with the Project Manager and System Specialists.
    • Installation, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of server hardware and software.
    • Coordination and management of multiple deployments simultaneously across various operations.
    • Coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for smooth project execution.
    • Monitoring and tracking progress according to project plan, ensuring timely completion of tasks as per project schedule.
    • Coordination of tasks and agreement on resource availability and allocation with Site Supervisors.
    • Measurement of project hardware performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
    • Reporting and escalation to management as needed.
    • Development of relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
    • Ongoing risk management to minimize project risks.
    • Maintenance and establishment of relationships with third parties/vendors.
    • Creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation.
    • Meetings with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project and long-term planning.
    • Delegation of agreed-upon project tasks based on Site Technician and resource availability and schedules.
    • Utilization and continuous development of skills.
    • Performance of other related duties as assigned.
    • Development of spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document project deliverables and requirements.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Completed Grade 12 (Matric), 3-5 years relevant work experience, business communication and understanding, MCSE, Microsoft Hyper-V (advantageous), VMware Administration Skills Essential, ITIL preferred.

    Role-Specific Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of IT and virtual infrastructures.
    • Organization and documentation of procedures, standards, and activities.
    • Server preparation for shipment and rack installation.
    • Basic server configuration includes network setup and remote access.
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2 up to Server 2022 installation and/or deployment.
    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
