The successful incumbents will be responsible for:

• Performing scheduled maintenance on plant & equipment

• Attending to machine breakdowns

• Installation of new plant & Equipment

• Ensuring that plant & equipment conforms to legislative requirements including the

OHSACT

• Training and mentoring unskilled artisans

Educational Qualifications Required:

• Trade Test fitter and turner

• Minimum of five years post apprentice experience in a manufacturing environment.

Specific Experience required:

• Proven Experience in a manufacturing environment on:

o Conveyors

o Gearboxes

o Variable Speed Drives

o Hydraulics

o Pneumatics

o Overhead Gantry Cranes

o Boilers

o Steam Applications

o Lubricating Systems

Specific Skills Required:

• Diagnostic & Fault finding skills

• Ability to read schematic drawings

• Ability to plan workload.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision

• Ability to work under pressure

• Prepared to work overtime & perform standby duties
