PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES:


To guide and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate to service centre client care and well-being & to assist the clinic Sister at Assisted living.


Requirements:


  • Enrolled Nurse
  • Current SANC registration
  • Geriatric care advantageous
  • Driver's License

Competencies:


  • Computer Literacy
  • Sound judgement and initiative
  • Practical experience of wound care, stoma care, catheter care, medical administration, etc.
  • Recognize and coordinate the functions of healthcare
  • Draw up care plans and their interpretation
  • Presentable with excellent communication skills
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • Motivate subordinates to work as a team and create trust
  • Accountability and customer focus

Key Results Areas

(Include but are not limited to):

  • Home visits on a regular scheduled basis
  • Provide appropriate timely interventions and quality care
  • Medication management
  • Assist Clinic Sister
  • Direct caregivers accordingly
  • General administration
